Many downtown restaurants join in on the fun, offering Italian-inspired specials and outdoor seating that lets you enjoy the festival right from your table. It’s festive, flavorful, and one of the most delicious ways to spend a fall afternoon in Summerville.

Mayfest on Main (May)

Mayfest is a local favorite that kicks off the summer season with live music, local artists, handmade goods, and plenty of fun for the whole family. It’s one of those relaxed, sunny-day events where there’s something happening on every corner.

It’s one of our favorite ways to spend a Saturday—browsing craft booths, letting the kids explore activity stations, and enjoying lunch from a local café or food vendor with outdoor seating. With space for kids to play and plenty of outdoor seating, it’s an easy, low-stress way to spend time together as a family.

Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting (December)

Summerville’s annual Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony are long-standing traditions that bring the entire community together. From school bands to locally made floats and the lighting of the tree in Hutchinson Square, it’s one of the most meaningful and festive nights of the year.
